G 2300 Intermediate EOC Functions
This 3-day course will examine the role, design, and function of the Emergency Operations Center (EOC) and their supportive relationship as a NIMS Command and Coordination component a Multi-Agency Coordination System. Provide training about staffing, organization, information, systems, communications, and equipment needs at the EOC, such activating and deactivating, operations, as well as training and exercising. Focus on the role of an EOC as one of four NIMS Command and Coordination Structures.
Prerequisites: IS 100, 2200, 700, 800. We also recommended: G191 & 200.

Target Audience: The intended audience(s) are federal, state, tribal, territorial, local level, business and nongovernmental emergency management personnel who may be designated to support an Emergency Operations Center (EOC) within their jurisdiction or organization.
Fire services, law enfocement, emergency management, public works, public health, medical emergency, hospitals, and those that may be designated to support the EOC.

Additional Information:
1) Training will be held on the main floor training room.
2) Please bring a wi-fi enabled device to utilize during the course.
3) Lunch will be on your own, many restaurants are located within a short drive of our facility.
4) This multi-day course is supported with Homeland Security Grant Program (HSGP) funding. You may request lodging reimbursement if you traveled an excess of 50 miles one-way and are an Iowa resident. Requests are based upon available funding.

5) All other travel will be on your own if the above doesn't apply or requested.
