Community Rating System (CRS) Training
This session introduces participants to FEMA’s Community Rating System (CRS) under the 2025 CRS Coordinator’s Manual. Designed specifically for Iowa communities, this course covers program prerequisites, activity credits, and documentation resources, while highlighting how state-mandated floodplain regulations and higher regulatory standards align with CRS elements. The workshop will demonstrate how Iowa’s state regulatory framework supports CRS participation and how communities can identify state-based credit opportunities to improve CRS class ratings. It is also an excellent refresher for communities already participating in the program.
